A complete change today, the rivers were running very high but the sun was shining from a clear sky and I needed the shelter of the trees to prevent overheating!

This section of the Speyside Way around Ben Aigen is good mix of old and new trees with great views of the Spey Valley to the sea, it’s also a good training ground for the Challenge.

| After Boat of Brig the last section was on the road which passed pleasantly enough especially when, after admiring the exceptionally well kept garden of 'Rose Cottage', I was called back and given a can of Coke by the lady of the house who had seen me passing in the sunshine. |

Plans for next years Challenge route were being formulated in my mind as I walked along and it seemed hardly any time at all had passed before I was crossing the swollen River Lossie to arrive home in the early afternoon ending this years extended Challenge.
